For those who are theater buffs and for those who are NOT, “Wicked” promises class act entertainment for all at the Broward Center March 12 - April 6, 2008. This Broadway musical is based on the book titled “Wicked: The life and times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire.

Synopsis:

“Wicked tells the story of Elphalba, the future Wicked Witch of the West and her relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. Their friendship struggles through their opposing personalities and viewpoints, rivalry over the same love-interest, their reactions to the Wizard’s corrupt government, and, ultimately, Elphaba’s public fall from grace. If you haven’t heard about the Bodies exhibit making it’s way to museums and cities nationwide, listen up! Bodies… the Exhibition  will be at Los Olas Riverfront in Fort Lauderdale, Florida until February 17th, 2008 and this is something you absolutely do not want to miss.

I saw the exhibit in Seattle Washington last winter and I was astounded. The displays consist of real bodies, scientifically preserved in various ways allowing different parts of the bodies to be showcased. For example, you will see the entire muscular system, nervous system, etc. Unless you plan on going to medical school, you won’t ever see anything like this again.
